Land Acknowledgement

I acknowledge that I work, reside and connect from the ancestral territories of Indigenous peoples who have honored these lands, waters, plants and animals since time immemorial.

I honor the sovereignty and role of the peoples of the unceded Wabanaki territory now called Maine: the Abenaki, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot Nations.

I offer this land acknowledgment in gratitude for all those who have come here before me and in recognition of the historical and ongoing damage the legacy of colonialism has brought to the people, waters, plants and animals of this land and beyond. May we live together in shared connection with, and honor, each other, these lands, waters, plants and animals in new and ancient ways of being..
